N. Darlene Beard, age 68, of Mountain Home, Ark., died Friday, January 21, 2005, in her residence. She was born November 5, 1936, in Mammoth, Missouri, to Carl Sanford and Gertrude Imogene Sowards Robbins. She married Arthur Beard on June 4, 1966, in Gainesville, Missouri. Mrs. Beard graduated from the Arkansas State University School of Nursing as a registered nurse and was a registered nurse at Baxter Regional Medical Center. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Arthur Beard of the home; four daughters, Renee (Larry) King, Calico Rock, Ark., Debbie (Mike) Mathews, Harrison, Ark., Robyn (Truman) Sellers, Mountain Home, Ark., and Cindy Beard, Mountain Grove, Mo.; one brother, Carl Robbins; seven sisters, Dorsey Looney, Sandra Millstead, Anita Lewis, Brenda Harter, Mary Kyle, Judy Johnson, and Becky Strong; nine grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation with the family receiving friends will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today, Sunday, in Roller Funeral Home, Mountain Home, Ark. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Roller Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Mammoth Cemetery, Mammoth, Missouri. Memorials may be made to the Mammoth Cemetery Fund.
