James F. Davey, 76, died Dec. 29, 1997 at Nathan Adelson Hospice in Las Vegas, NV. He was born Dec. 8, 1921 in O'Neill and graduated Valentine High School in 1940. His parents long time residents of Valentine where they ran and operated the Davey Dry Cleaning establishment.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Laurence Davey, his sister, Jacqueline Sunderland, infant son Arthur J.
Survivors include his wife, Mary, two sons, James G. Davey and Kirk Davey, both of Las Vegas, three daughters, Anita Orchin of Las Vegas, Jerilyn Whitten of Palestine, TX, Jaylene Fields of Williamsburg, VA, stepdaughter, Beverly Goforth of Chelsea, OK and step-son Tom Ballard of Las Vegas, 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Interment was held Jan. 28, 1998 at 2:15 pm at the Veterans Cemetery in Boulder City, NV.
