Poet, Editor. After studying in Finland, Kellgren returned to Sweden, where his satirical verse soon led him to prominence in the literary scene. A poet who also served as librarian and personal secretary to King Gustav III, Kellgren was was co-founder and long-time editor of Stockholmsposten, an influential Swedish literary journal. One of the earliest members of the Swedish Academy and a strong voice in Europe's Age of Englightenment, Kellgren is remembered today for his satirical attacks as well as for the beauty of his lyrics.
