Edgar and Elsie Schuetz were married on June 29, 1926, making their home in Egbert, Wyoming. The Schuetz's owned and operated the Egbert Mercantile and the Egbert Post Office until retiring to Cheyenne in 1957. Their only child, (Allan Duane Schuetz) drowned in 1958 at the age of 20.

In 1910, Edgar, (Son of Nellie and William Schuetz of Egbert, Wyoming, filed on a homestead near Federal Wyoming where he farmed and raised cattle, Edgar's select veal was often served at the Plains Hotel in Cheyenne during the early heydays of the famous Hotel which is still in service today!

Elsie Albertina (Adolphson) Schuetz grew up on her family farm approximately 1 mile south of Edgar's ranch near Federal Wyoming. Elsie had been a school teacher in her younger years, taking correspondence courses from the University of Wyoming and Greeley's Teacher's College, teaching on a Normal Training Diploma in 1918, often riding a horse alone throughout the Divide Area five miles each way in order to teach her eager students.
