GARLAND E. ACORD, aged 57, of Hartman died Tuesday at his home. A native of Johnson County, he was a veteran of World War II and a retired maintenance mechanic at Morton Frozen Foods in Russellville. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Crystal Acord; one son, Donald Acord of Hartman; one daughter, Mrs. Tammy Taylor of Russellville; one brother, Jim Acord of Dixon, Mo., two sisters, Mrs. Georgia Phillips of Ozark and Mrs. Dorothy Harkreader of Van Buren; one half-brother, Homer Acord of Ashdown; one half-sister, Mrs. Nona Cobb of Ashdown and two grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Haedwicke Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Elmer Linton officiating. Burial was in Hartman Cemetery. Pallbearers were Leonard Stewart, J.R.
