Funeral services for La Veta Belle Dooley, 74, of Forsyth, formally of Excelsior Springs, MO will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday (August 1) at Forsyth Whelchel Chapel with burial in the Helphrey Cemetery at Taneyville. She died July 29, 1993 in her home.
She was a homemaker, a member of the Community Presbyterian Church, Forsyth. La Veta was actively involved in the family business Dooley Refrigeration and Appliance Service.
Surviving are her husband, Sherman, of the home. Six daughters: Eleanor Harrison of Forsyth; Nancy Gulley, Excelsior Springs, Sharon Sheets, Holden, MO; Lorna Oliphant, Richmond, MO; Linda Dorton, Lathrop, MO and Jackie Rogers of Springdale, AR. Three sisters, Della Mae Wills and Erma Jean Hendricks of Excelsior Springs and Cliftina Endsley of Wichita, KS. Twenty grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
