Montana Meade Callahan, 63, of Grayson, died Saturday, Oct. 11, 2003 at her residence. Born Jan. 1, 1940, in Floyd County, she was a daughter of the late Hibbert and Kit Mulkey Meade. She was a housewife.
Survivors include her husband, Jack Callahan of Grayson; three sons, Joe Wheeler of Columbus, Ohio, Jack Bennie Callahan of Mt. Vernon, Ohio, and Rocky Callahan of Stoutsville, Ohio; a daughter, Christine Miller of Grayson, KY; two brothers, Denver "Gene" Meade of Orient, Ohio, and Robert Meade of Paintsville, KY; two half brothers, Danny "Joe" Meade of Columbus, OH, and Gordon Meade of Florida; a sister, Sylvia Akers of West Virginia; and five half sisters, Dorothy Blanton of Lucasville, OH, Reesy Case of Columbus, OH, and Glenda Sue Meade, Wanda Meade and Brenda Kay Gaines, all of Ohio.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Oct. 14, at Jones-Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
Burial was in Meade Cemetery, Wittensville, under direction of Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
