Scamp was a nieghbor's cat. He was just the friendliest cat I've ever known. I'd say he almost had the personality of a dog. Hope Scamp doesn't mind me saying that. ;-)
Whenever he would see me outside he'd run over to say 'hi' by rubbing up against my leg and purring. He loved hanging with my three cats prowling the nieghborhood.
One hot summer night I had left my car windows down. The next morning while driving to work I heard a faint 'meow'. I turned to see Scamp waking from a nap in the back seat! I laughed so hard I almost cried. I turned the car around and took him home and proceeded with my day.
I remember one day I saw Scamp laying on his porch. Out of character, he didn't run over to greet me. I walked over to him and saw he had scratches and was bleeding all over his body. This was probably due to a fight he had gotten into with a wild cat that was roaming the area. His owners were not home so I rushed him to the vet. He survived, but not without the loss of sight in one eye. But the injuries he sustained didn't change his loving personality.
I'm not sure what ever happened to Scamp because we moved away and so did his owners.
I just wanted to make this little memorial for him because he was such a sweetheart.
