William Fred Geer, 69, died Sunday at his residence, 260 Reynolds St., after an extended illness. He was a retired safety officer for the Charleston and Western Carolina Railroad. Mr. Geer attended the First Baptist Church and was a member of the Phinizy Bible Class.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ida Fuller Geer; a daughter, Mrs. Rupert H. [sic H. Rupert] Sledge of Arcadia, La.; three sons, the Rev. Robert S. Geer of Alva, Tex., William D. Geer of Clinton, Miss., and H. Calvin Geer of Augusta, and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon Tuesday at the First Baptist Church by Dr. R. J. Robinson. Interment will be in the Penfield (Ga) Cemetery. Mr. Geer was a native of Penfield but had lived here 35 years.

Interment will be in Penfield Cemetery, Penfield, Ga. The body will be at the Poteet Funeral home until the hour of the services. Pallbearers will be Jack W. Roundtree, J. A. Hart, J. B. Peebles, W. B. Bridges, Marvin J. Ivey, Jr. and C. L. Christian.
