Blanch (Wright) Allen, 93, of Bloomington, passed away at 1:44 P.M., on Friday, July 27, 2007, at Garden Villa (Hospitality House), in Bloomington.
Born November 30, 1913, in Greene County, Indiana, she was the daughter of Claude & Jessie (Harmon) Wright.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Red Hat Society, she was also a member of the Body of Christ Church. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, & Step-Grandmother.
Surviving relatives include: 2 sons: Cliff E. Allen, & Harold L. Allen, both of Bloomington, Indiana; 2 grandchildren: Michelle L. Allen of Bloomington, Indiana, & Harold L. Allen Jr. of Chesapeake, Virginia; 11 step-grandchildren; several step great grandchildren; nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Alfred Allen, on October 7, 1987; her parents; 1 brother, Ralph Wright; 1 step-granddaughter; and 3 great grandchildren.
Friends may call from until the hour of service, on Thursday, August 2, 2007, at Jenkins Funeral Home, in Bloomfield. Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M., on Thursday, August 2, 2007, at Jenkins Funeral Home, in Bloomfield, with Pastor John E. Turpin, officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery, in Bloomfield.
