Mrs. M. E. Graston passes away Friday
Funeral Monday, Burial in Greenlawn – Was sister of Ida Shetterly
Mrs. Catherine E. Graston, age 66. Wife of M. E. Graston, died Friday at her home 3934 College Avenue in Indianapolis. She was the only sister of Ida Shetterly of Franklin.
Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at one o’clock, followed by burial at three o’clock in Greenlawn cemetery at Franklin. The Rev. Walter P. Halbert, pastor of the First Baptist church and Dr. P. L. Powell of Franklin, will conduct the services. Friends are invited to attend the services.
Mrs. Graston was born in DuPont, Indiana, the daughter of David and Matilda Shetterly, on August 19, 1886 she was married to M. E. Graston at DuPont and until 1908 lived in Rushville then coming to Indianapolis where Mr. Graston is in the claim department at the Traction terminal Station. She was a member of the Dupont Baptist church.
Survivors besides the husband, are the sister, Miss Ida Shetterly of Franklin: and three brothers, Dr. W. R. Shetterly, Brooklyn, N. Y.; C. C. and George Shetterly of Tampa, Florida. Mrs. Jinks Hoagland of Franklin is a niece and Miss Katheryn Hoagland a grandniece.
Mrs. W. R. Shetterly of New York and C. C. and George Shetterly of Florida will attend the funeral. Dr. Shetterly is unable to come on account of illness.
