She was the daughter of Benjamin Mason ESTES and Martha "Mattie" JACKSON. She married Bishop DR.. Fafayette . " Fate" ELAM, son of George ELAM and Rachel MCENTIRE.

Her father Benjamin Mason ESTES was born 23 SEP 1844 in Woodbury, Cannon CO TN, and died 13 AUG 1934 in Harrison, AR. He was buried in Speers Cemetery, Boone County, AR. He was the son of John Moses ESTES and Charlotte May ELKINS.

Her mother Martha "Mattie" JACKSON was born 25 OCT 1847 in Taney CO, MO, and died 17 JAN 1903 in Eros, AR. She was the daughter of David JACKSON and Phinina BROWN.

iii. Alice C. ESTES was born 31 DEC 1869 in Marion County, AR, and died 1947 in Boone County, AR. She married Jeff G. PILLOW. He was born 1862, and died 1936.

iv. Iva Nora ESTES was born 4 NOV 1871 in Boone County, AR, and died 14 MAR 1916 in Boone County, AR. She married Bishop DR.. Fafayette . " Fate" ELAM, son of George ELAM and Rachel MCENTIRE.

v. Isa Dora ESTES was born 11 JAN 1874 in Marion CO Arkansas, and died 1956 in Arkansas. She married W. T. TERRY.

vi. Martin Oliver ESTES was born 19 FEB 1876 in Tarripin Creek, Flippen, AR, and died 23 MAY 1960 in Harrison, AR. He married Martha Jane WHITE 13 APR 1900 in Eros, AR, daughter of Hugh L. WHITE and Tamar CREEL. She was born 20 SEP 1880 in Capps, AR, and died 7 FEB 1974 in Harrison, AR.

vii. Essie ESTES was born 29 DEC 1879 in Gaither Mtn., B CO AR, and died 1934. She married John B. STALKUP. He was born 1877 in BCAR, and died 1954.

viii. Nettie ESTES was born 13 MAR 1884, and died 1922. She married Joe MCLANE 8 SEP 1901, son of W. MCLANE and Margaret NORTON.

I found Doc and Iva's marriage in Boone county Oct. 21, 1909 On the 1910 census it says
1910 Centralia Ward 1, Craig county, OK
Bishop C Elam 37 2nd marriage m 0 yrs
Iva N Elam 37 1st marriage 1 of 1 living
Kelley C Elam 7 AR AR AR

I always thought Kelley belonged to his 1st wife who he married 1902 and died 1908.
Question: Had Iva been married before? or am I correct in that Kelley was 1st wife's and the census-taker put it down wrong?

Kelly lied about his birth year to sign up for WW I draft --claimed birth year was 1898 instead of 1903
