George Williams Butler Marble, son of Jehiel Butler Marble and Anna Loveridge Drake. George Marble's first marriage to Lulu Isabel Brewton, daughter of Ezekiel Glenn Brewton and Emma Lovelace, on February 18, 1890, in Pensacola, Escambia County, Florida. George Marble's second marriage to Susannah Elizabeth Blitch, daughter of Reverend James Elias Blitch and Nancy Brewton, on September 23, 1907, in Pensacola, Escambia County, Florida.

OBITUARY: February 23, 1936

George Williams Marble, 74, died at his residence, 730 North Twelfth Avenue, at 10:30 p.m., Saturday night after several months' illness.

Marble was born at Mt. Vernon, Ohio, and came to Pensacola when 17 and has resided here ever since. He was at one time in real estate and building material business and for several years was employed at Naval Air station, being retired on account of age. He is survived by his widow, one daughter, Mrs. Mary Belle Williams, of Mississippi City, Miss.; one son Glenn A. Marble, of Pensacola, and seven grandchildren.

The funeral will be held from his residence at 2:30 p.m., today, Rev. Allen S. Cutts of First Baptist church officiating, with burial in St Johns cemetery, with Escambia Lodge No. 15, F. & A. M. in charge of the services.
