Henry J. Mooney, who observed his 103rd birthday anniversary Dec. 2, died Wednesday. A native of Belfast, Ireland, he had lived in the United States more than 90 years and in Oregon more than 60.
Mr. Mooney, a former carpenter and hotel clerk, had made his home in recent years in Portland with a son, Capt. E. R. Mooney, member of the Columbia River Pilots Assn. and president of the Veteran Steamboatmen's Assn.
Another son, John L. Mooney, lives at Rainier. Also surviving are four grandchildren, including Eldred W. Mooney, Portand, and Robert Mooney, Rainier; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services wil be Friday at 3 p.m. in the Colonial Mortuary. Private commital will be at Portland Memorial.
At one time Henry was married to Evelyn Doble, they divorced. They had two sons, John L. (Tuey) Mooney and Eldred "Ray" Mooney.
