Frank S. Longacre of 102 Garber Street, Mount Union, died at his home on Monday, November 15, 1948 at 2 p.m. Mr. Longacre had been ill for several months.
He was born on September 3, 1877 in Mount Union, a son of the late Peter and Margaret (Frye) Longacre. He married Minetta Himes of Mount Union and they made their home there.
Mr. Longacre was an active sportsman, and active in church activities. He was a member of the Methodist Church of Mount Union, and the Herman Smith Bible Class. He was also a charter member of the Mount Union F. & A. M., No. 688.
For many years he pursued the trade of bricklayer. In the past 15 years, however he was employed by the Pennsylvania Highways Department..
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 18 at 2 p.m. fromm the Clark funeral home in Mount Union. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Ellis B. Davidson. Interment will be made in the Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Masonic services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 17, at 7:30 p.m. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.
