For the U.S. Census records (1870, 1880) Sarah states she was born in West Virginia (or Virginia, per 1900 Census) and so were her parents. The 1943 Pennsylvania Certificate of Death for her oldest son, John Henry Clymer, states his mother's maiden name as "Sarah Myers" and her birthplace as "Bruston Mills, West Virginia".

Additionally, Sarah (Myers) Clymer's actual Certificate of Death, filed July of 1926, contains the following entry as submitted by her daughter Anna May (Clymer) Elliot:
"NAME OF FATHER: Jno Myers, BIRTHPLACE OF FATHER: W Va." and "MAIDEN NAME OF MOTHER: Lydda Woosing, BIRTHPLACE OF MOTHER: W Va."

Sarah may have married a second time following the death of her first husband, Lindsay Mundell Clymer in 1881, as there are Pennsylvania marriage records showing "George Grover and Sarah Elizabeth Clymer" married in Aug 1887 in Monongahela Twp, Greene, Pennsylvania, USA. This George C. Grover died in Greene County on 17 October 1902.
