Daughter of Charles Tidd and Clarinda Lucretia Kingsbury, wife of Dr. Mahlon Blakeslee Ballard. She was the mother of two children, Helen Tidd and Richard Blakeslee. Anna died in Newark, N.J. while enroute to see the cherry blossoms in Washington D.C. with a friend. According to family history, she was shopping for a gift for her 1 yr. old granddaughter, Mary Jane Ballard when she was stricken with either a heart attack or stroke and could not be revived.
