A native and life-long resident of Beaumont, Gloria was retired after thirty-seven years of service as a service assistant with Southwestern Bell Telephone.

Survivors include her devoted husband of sixty years, Charles Burton; son, Charles "Bubba" Burton, Jr.; daughter, Rebecca Serio and her husband S.J.; grandson, Charles "B.J." Burton III; granddaughter, Magen Serio; great grandson, Roman Alexander Criswell; and foster child, Valerie Flournoy and her husband Kevin.
