Phyllis Washington Dreher, 37, of the 5400 block of Lord Dunmore Court, died May 9, 1998.
Mrs. Dreher was a member of United House of Prayer For All People, Norfolk No. 1. She was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School, Norfolk, and Norfolk State University with a B.S. in Education. She taught for the STOP Program, Norfolk; Westhaven Elementary School, Portsmouth; and Luxford Elementary School, Virginia Beach.
Survivors include her husband, Sherman Dreher Sr. of Virginia Beach; a son, Sherman Dreher Jr. of the home; parents, Viola Washington and Clyde L. Washington, both of Norfolk; a sister, Michelle Washington of Norfolk; mother-in-law, Lillian Dreher of New Jersey; grandparents, Rose Mae Robinson of Chesapeake and Susie M. Morris of Norfolk; a niece, Tiffany Washington; a nephew, Dominic Washington of Norfolk; aunts, uncles, cousins, sisters and brothers-in-law, and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Thursday in United House of Prayer for All People by Apostle W.R. Scott. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Friends may join the family at 1012 Bowe Place. A wake service will held from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in Graves Funeral Home.
