Christobal R. Sanchez, age 33, a resident of Los Lunas, passed away on Thursday, May 17. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tomé.

Christobal was a plumber by trade. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing sports with his children. Christobal spent a lot of his time and talking on the phone with his children, mother, brother and sister. His favorite thing was to get up and fix coffee for his mother. Christobal's favorite place to be was in the mountains.

He was a very loving person and will be terribly missed by all his family and everyone who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Fidel Sanchez; maternal grandparents, Ramon and Vickie Fajardo and Ricardo Zubiate; paternal grandparents, Felipe and Brijida Sanchez; and three uncles, Bobby Zubiate and Fidel and Leroy Sanchez.

Christobal is survived by his loving mother, Ernestine Zubiate Cordova; father, Christobal Sanchez; five children, Tamara S., Chris R., Shania M., Stephanie F., and Angelo N. Sanchez; two sisters, Elizabeth Foster of Tuscon, Ariz., and Nieves Sanchez; and brother, Noel Sanchez. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tomé, beginning with a viewing on Sunday, May 20, at 6 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. by Deacon Lorenzo Castillo. A final visitation will be held on Monday, May 21, at 9:30 a.m. with a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. with Father Jose Hernandez presiding. Interment will follow at Las Nutrias Cemetery with Deacon Lorenzo Castillo.

Pallbearers will be Mark and Steven Sanchez, Ray Tafoya, Lorenzo and Edward Lucero, and Gabriel Silva. Honorary pallbearers will be Tyson, Randle, and Joey Clouser, Daniel and Ronald Sanchez, and Jessie Baldonado.
