Rogerio G. Baca, 83, passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at his home in Socorro, NM surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 7, 1923 in Socorro, NM to Seferino and Esquipula (Garcia) Baca. He is preceded in death by his sons: Joe, Gilbert, Sefie and Eddie; a sister, Maria Garcia. He is survived by his wife, Leanor Anaya Baca of their home in Socorro; son, Larry Baca and wife, Linda of Socorro; daughters: Rosie Paz and husband, John of Socorro; Ramona Benavidez and fiance, Henry of Socorro; Lugie Sefeovic and fiance, Ramon of Fort Wayne, IN; Lucilla Baca of Socorro; and Eleanor Woodard and husband, Donald of Socorro; daughter-in-law, Dorothy Baca of Socorro; sister, Eugenia Griego of Socorro; 21 grandchildren, fifty-two great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. A Rosary will be recited on Sunday, November 26, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at San Miguel Catholic Church in Socorro. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, November 22, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at San Miguel with Father John C. Daniel as Celebrant. Burial will be in the San Miguel cemetery with military honors. Pallbearers are John Paz Jr., Eddie Baca, Lawrence Baca, Alan Woodard, Mark Benavidez, Martin Benavidez, Adam Paz and Anthony Baca. Honorary Pallbearers are Roger Paz, Chris Baca, Gilbert Baca and Sefie Baca. Arrangements are under the care of Steadman-Hall Funeral Home, 309 Garfield, Socorro, NM.
