Assistant Surgeon, 5th Regiment Kansas Volunteer Cavalry; refer to page 125, Report of the Adjutant General of the state of Kansas, 1861-'65. Reference notes Dr. Sheldon died at Fort Scott, KS, of disease. April 3, 1862.
