Ila Vivian James Abt, 82, of Ocala, Fla., died March 1, 2004, at her daughter's home.
A native of Russellville, Ala., she was the daughter of the late Henry E. James and Elizabeth McCaig James. She was a member of Ocala West United Methodist Church and the Christian Women's Club. She served in the U.S. Navy WAVES during World War II. She was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Murry W. Abt, Ocala; daughter, Helen E. Hills and husband, David, Ocala; sisters, Jean Oliver, Muscle Shoals, and Erie Pounders and Geraldine Lindsey, both of Tuscumbia; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
