Marjorie Canfield

Marjorie Ann Canfield, 62, of Dallas City, Ill., died at 11:05 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2002, at her home.

Born Jan. 28, 1940, in Patterson, Mo., she was the daughter of Winfred and Hazel McCann Brooks. On Jan. 28, 1960, she married Ray B. Canfield in San Pedro, Calif.

Mrs. Canfield worked for Maddox Production, an oil well service company in California, for many years. She was a bookkeeper, secretary and dispatcher.

She and her husband moved to Dallas City in 1995. She was a member of First Christian Church.

Survivors include her husband; one sister, Joan Thomure of Ste. Genevieve, Mo.; one nephew; one great-niece; and one great-nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Her body has been cremated.

A graveside service for Mrs. Canfield will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Harris Cemetery near Dallas City.

A memorial has been established for Blessing Hospice of Hancock County.
