He was born to Clem and Theresa (Lange) Evers. On Jul 12, 1941, in Carthagena, he married Ludwina Nerderman, who survived him.

Also surviving were three sons, Richard, Kenneth and Carl at home; a daughter, Alice, at home; eight brothers, Herbert, St. Henry, Florence, Gregor, Henry and Clem Jr., Wendelin and Clarence, Walter and Edward, Burkettsville; and a sister, Alfreda Siegrist, Cassella.

Last rites were held in the St. Henry Catholic Church, with Rev. Valentine Fleckenstein, officiating.
