Grace E. Brown Dies Following 2 Months' Illness
Mrs. Grace E. Brown, 65, the mother of Robert F. Brown Sacramento's Young Man of the Year in 1953, died last night in the Sutter Hospital following an illness of two months. She was the wife of James A. Brown, retired state department of agriculture accountant. The Brown home is at 2805 G. Street. Born in Kansas, she had lived in Sacramento since 1920 and four years was active in affairs of the Fremont Presbyterian Church. She and her husband were married in Elsinore, Riverside County, in 1917 and lived there until they moved to Sacramento. Also surviving or five other children, James A., Jr., Margaret E., Marian P., Ted L. and Dick M., all of Sacramento, and six grandchildren. Services will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow in the Harry A. Nauman & Son Funeral Home. Burial will be in the East Lawn Cemetery.
