In 1924, John J. Healey and Clarence A. Roth moved their Healey & Roth Undertaking Company into this beautiful 2-story building at 815 Main Street near downtown Little Rock. After Mr. Roth died in 1953, John Albert Healey, son of John J. Healey, purchased the Roth interests. The business remained in this building until John Albert Healey built his magnificent new Georgian-Colonial design funeral home at 5800 West 12th Street in 1964 (See other pictures in this site). When he merged his business with Griffin-Leggett in 1975, the building on 12th Street was expanded to add four large staterooms. Even after selling the business and "retiring," he came to his beloved funeral home almost daily when he was not on one of his many world trips.
