William Dudley was the first born child of Seneca Robert Dudley and Julia Ann (Madison Pulliam) Digges. On October 21, 1894, he married Lily Mae Jackson. They lived on a farm in Triplett until 1912, during which time they had 10 children:

In 1912, the family sold their farm and moved to Poplar Bluff, where William Dudley lived until his death in 1928. William Dudley's family tree is woven in to the very tapestry of the history of the United States, in addition to historical branches that trace back to England's history.
