Born in Norristown, Pa., daughter of Robert Furlong and Tina Ireland.

Mother of Ramon Milburn, Daniel L. Milburn, Dawn M. Curtiss, and Tina M. Rodgers.

She was a registered nurse, and initially worked at the Stockley Center of Georgetown for over 10 years, and most recently worked at the Delaware Home for the Chronically Ill in Smyrna for more than 16 years.

She volunteered her off time at the Stockley Center taking clients on field trips, and also volunteered at DHCI.

In addition to her nursing career, she was a CPR instructor through the American Heart Association.

In her spare time, Mrs. Dickerson enjoyed bird watching, going to the slots and was an avid shopper. Most of all, she enjoyed spending quality time with her family and close friends.

She was a member of the Delaware State Education Association, which was a passion for her, and was known for advocating the rules and regulations of the DSEA.

Mrs. Dickerson attended Saint Bernadette Catholic Church, Harrington.
