James H. Law III parents were Amy Lynn and James Henry Law Jr. who both preceded him in death. He was one of eight children born to their union. Four sister's Rosalynn, Lanita, Joyce and Elva who preceded him in death and three brother's Ivan, Eddie and Billy.

He was a graduate of Lincoln High School in Wheeling W. Virginia, after he graduated from high school he joined the United States Air Force, where he served from 1954 to 1960. Upon leaving the Air Force he then became employed by the Department of Army serving them for 36 years. Throughout his employment and military career he was a recipient of many honors and awards for distinguished service. His employment allowed him to travel extensively living in Saudi Arabia and Germany.

He was firm believer in education and later received a Bachelors Degree from the Detroit Institute of Technology. He also had a passion for history, geography, airplanes and had a green thumb for all his plants that he loved.

James was united in Holy Matrimony to Shirley Sewell in April 1959 and to their union two daughters was born Sandra and Sharon, then later in his life he had a second marriage and from that union he has a daughter Meagan and a son Yannick.

He has six grand children Shedon, Jazmin and Derrick Williamson Jr., and Louis, Erica and Eric Jackson he also has two great-grand children Doriyanna and Kaleb Jackson. Two son in-laws Derrick Williamson and Eric Jackson.

He was a faithful member and Deacon of Bible Way Fellowship Church. He will be greatly missed by his families and many friends.
