Wonderful neighbor and good friend to my Mom and Dad. He and Miss Lula lived across the road from my parents during the time I was born in 1946.

He was married to Miss Lula Middlebrook Bailey who bathed me the day I was born at home in Baileytown, AL.

My Dad has told me there has never been a nicer couple than Miss Lula and Mr. Andrew.The Huntsville Times, Huntsville, Alabama Saturday, June 14, 1980. Scottsboro. William Andrew Bailey, 84, of Star Route, Hytop, died today in Jackson County Hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Skyline Baptist Church. Burial will be in Prince Cemetery, with Scottsboro Funeral Home in charge. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Leila Brogdon of Rossville, Ga., and Mrs. Lovell Brewer of Sauk Village, Ill.; five sons, Clifford Bailey of Scottsboro, Oscar Bailey of Anderson, S.C., Becil Bailey of Covington, Ky., Cecil Bailey of Harvey, Ill., E. R. Bailey of Hytop; two brothers, Seab Bailey of Section, Ala., and Harvey Bailey of Elora, Tenn.; three sisters, Mrs. Julie Patterson of Section, Mrs. Gracie Carden and Mrs. Ethel Prince, both of Huntsville; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
