Edward J. Moran, 77, died Thursday, November 10, 2005 in Gulfport, MS. Ed was born June 13, 1928 in Brooklyn, NY. Ed was preceded by his son Michael of Waveland, MS.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Ruth of 50 years of Diamondhead, MS, his sons Douglas of Sparta, NJ and Steven of Weshampton, NY, and 5 grandchildren.
Ed, a graduate of New England College, Henniker, NH, served his country in both WWII and the Korean War. Ed lived most of his life in the NY, NJ area, and retired to Diamondhead in 1988 after selling his independent insurance adjustment agency in Sparta, NJ. He won the Mississippi State Super Senior Golf title during his first year of retirement, and especially enjoyed being a member of the Diamondhead Boaters Krewe and the Krewe of Tiki, on which he and Ruth served as King and Queen.
