Memorial services for Rex M. Adams, 72, are to be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the Latter-Day Saints Church, Glenrock, ward, with Bishop Glen Nebeker officiating. Military honors are to be accorded by the United Veterans Council of Natrona County.

Cremation has taken place and interment of the cremains is to be in the Oregon Trail Cemetery in Evansville.

Mr. Adams died Sept. 11 in Glenrock.

He was born Oct. 8, 1926 in Parowan, UT, the son of Orlando Whitney and Lacy (Murdock) Adams. His family moved to Ogden, UT when he was 15, and he graduated from Ogden High School in 1944. He was drafted into the U.S. Army in August 1946, and served during the occupation of Japan.

When he returned to Utah, he resumed his civil service career working at the Defense Depot of Ogden, later transferring to Hill Air Force Base in Davis County. After his retirement from Hill AFB, he worked at Levelor Blinds.

He married Frances Darlene Hayes on Aug. 7, 1957, in Manen, ID. They moved to Glenrock in 1997.

He was a member of the American Legion and the VFW. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and loved most of all his family.

He is survived by his wife of Glenrock; four daughters, Marlene Price and her husband Russell, Sr. of Glendale, AZ., Debbie Mockensturm and her husband Victor of Glenrock, Vickie Owens of Glenrock and Ammie Mollman and her husband Matthew of Glenrock; one son, Kenneth Rex Adams and his wife Sharon of Layton, UT; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; six brothers, Douglas, Jerry and Allan of Utah, Keith of Oregon, John of Michigan, and Orland of New York; and three sisters, Maureen Beeson, Thora Nicholls and Jeanine Wheeler, all of Utah.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family would appreciate memorials to the Make-a-Wish Foundation, P.O. Box 273, Casper, 82602.
