Bernice was born in Groton, NY, the daughter of Lloyd and Beatrice Wilson Hatch. She and her late husband owned and operated a dairy farm on Atkins Road, McGraw, for many years. Bernice's wonderful humor was taken away much too soon, but now she is at peace in the world where her memories are restored and Alzheimer's disease does not exist. She was a member of the McGraw Presbyterian Church and a 55-year member of McGrawville Grange. Surviving are one daughter, Alice (Larry) Moore of McGraw; two sons, Leslie (Chris) Atkins of Marietta, NY, and Albert (Donna) Atkins of Cortland, NY; one sister, Martie (Charlotte) Romanek of Locke, NY; two grandchildren, Halie and Jacob Atkins. She was predeceased by her husband, Francis Atkins, who died in 1995; two sisters, Helen Atkins in 2002 and Everlyn Simpson in 2004; one brother, Arthur Hatch in 2005
