Miss Edna Minnie Smith, 67, pianist and organist, died yesterday at the home of a cousin. Miss Pearl Capron, 79 Main St., Whitesboro. She lived at 420 W. Embargo St.
Daughter of Edwin D. and Minnie Capron Smith she was born in Rome on May 11, 1889. Miss Smith attended the old Liberty St. School and graduated from Rome Free Academy in 1907. She studied advanced music education at Syracuse University and graduated from the Utica Conservatory of Music. She taught music for a short time.
Also surviving are six other cousins, Miss Isabel Phisterer, Cazenovia, Mrs. Helen Dewey of Utica, Dr. Edwin W. Roberts of Watertown, Mrs. Mildred C. Hall of New Rochelle, Harold C. Capron of Boonville and Miss Margaret; Dunham of Rome.
