Mrs. Balaban was an Oceanside, Ca. resident for two years and was 85 at the time of her passing. She was born in Gallup, New Mexico. Lois was a 39-year resident of the High Desert and a 46-year resident of California. She was a WWII Army Nurses Corps Veteran and worked as a registered nurse for 45 years. Lois worked at St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, Ca. and Victor Valley College as a teaching nurse for 18 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 18 years, Al Balaban and her son, Ron Gentili. She is survived by her daughter Melinda Dean and her son Richard Gentili; 5 grandchildren and one great-grandson. Victor Valley Mortuary handled arrangements.
