A funeral mass for Ruth Angeline Hawkey, 90, of Cookeville, will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2001 from Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church in Arcola, IL. Burial will follow in the Arcola Cemetery.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hawkey died on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2001 at Masters Health Care Center.

She was born Oct. 23, 1911 in Illinois to the late Albert Mullet and Iris Switzer Alexander. Mrs. Hawkey was a homemaker and was of the Catholic faith.

Her family includes a son and daughter-in-law, Joe and DeEtte Hawkey of San Leandro, CA; four daughters and three sons-in-law: Ruth Rogers of Cookeville, Iris and William White of Old Hickory, Rosie and Clyde Landreth of Sun City, AZ and Ginny and Jim Guthrie of Fremont, CA; a brother, Leo Alexander of Crown Point, IN; 15 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hawkey was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Hawkey; and a brother, Frank Alexander.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
