Death of Mr. Maurice Horton
Mr. Maurice Horton died at his home at Quantico Saturday evening after a lingering illness, aged 32 years. He was for some time an engineer on the R. F. and P. R. R. [Rail Road] He married Miss Flossie Leary, a niece of Col. E.D. Cole, who with two children survive. The funeral took place Monday at 11 o'clock.
Among those who attended from this city were Mrs. P. H. Leary, Miss Viola Abel, and Mrs. W. L. Brannan, Miss Lucy T. Tansill.
Maurice B. Horton was the son of James Henry Horton and Amadora Ella "Dora" Ennis. He was the husband of Florence Rose "Flossie" Leary and the father of Florence Ryland Horton Scott and Maurice Virginia Horton Crews.
He died 22 April 1911 at Quantico, Prince William, Virginia.
