John Robert Moore

Milledgeville, May 11 -- Funeral services for John Robert Moore, 66, found dead late Monday beside the road near his residence at James, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hardy's Chapel near Gordon.

Mr. Moore had borrowed a [illegible] and was returning the animal to its owner when he apparently suffered a heart attack, officials said.

The Rev. Charles Smith and Joe A. Moore will officiate. Burial will be in the churchyard.

Mr. Moore, a farmer until a few years ago, had recently been employed by Allen Invalid Home in Milledgeville.

Survivors include his wife, the former Mary Alice Bullington; three sons, John, Bennie and Milton Moore, all of Atlanta; three daughters, Mrs. Everett Aultman of Atlanta, Mrs. Wilson Davis of Haddock and Mrs. W. I. Moore of Gordon, two sisters, Mrs. Carrie Grey of Haddock and Mrs. Mary Gibson of Atlanta, 17 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Moore Funeral Home of Milledgeville has charge of arrangements.
