Husband of Jane Elizabeth Burns, born in Ireland. They were married January 24, 1895 at St. Rose's Catholic Church, Ridley, Pennsylvania.

Father of Samuel Joseph Boulden, Josiah Charles Boulden Jr., Marie Alice Hedgpeth, Charlotte Jane Trainum, William James Boulden and Robert Benjamin Boulden.
