Mrs. Destimony Kifer, beloved wife of James Kifer, died at the family residence on West Center street Sunday noon, as the result of complications from which she had been a great sufferer for the past six months.
She was born in Clarington, Forest county, Dec 4, 1862, and was 67 years of age. For the past 22 years the family have been residents of Johnsonburg and the news of her death will be received with genuine regret by a multitude of friends. For more than 50 years she had been a consistent member of the M. E. Church.
Funeral services will be conducted by her pastor, the Rev. W. O. Calhoun in the Rolfe church this afternoon at two o'clock. Interment will be in the Wardvale cemetery.
She is survived by her husband James Kifer, and the following children: Frank and Charles of Johnsonburg and Filmore and Mrs. Roy Anderson of Cleveland. Two brothers, Alpheus of Erie, and Filmore of Kane; two sisters, Mrs. J. A. Frampton of Brooklyn, and Miss Sarah Kellogg of Kane, also twelve grandchildren.
