Born Daisy Florence Stevens, daughter of William Stevens, a printer's engineer, she lived at 127 Kelly Road, Plaistow, East London, until she married Arthur Narramore. Mother of Vernon, Bert and Peggy. After her husband was gassed during WW1 whilst on active service on the Western Front, they moved to the coast at Ramsgate, Kent, and whilst her husband ran a children's outfitters in Bellevue Road which latest became the local post office, she 'did' bed & breakfast at her large home, Malvern House, in Albion Road. For many years she was in the WRVS and cooked food for the elderly. She lost her 2nd son Bert in HMS Javelin in 1940.
