He was born May 21, 1940, in Potomac, a son of Icel E. and Erma Kersey Cade. He married Carolyn S. Justice on Nov. 2, 1968, in Cheneyville. She survives.
Survivors also include his mother of Cheneyville; a son, Bryan Obenland of Oakwood; two daughters, Heather Barnes of Cabot, Ark., and Heidi Cade of Urbana; a sister, Shirley Hall of Hoopeston; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, a brother, a sister and a grandchild.
Mr. Cade worked at Beaty's Auto Service in Hoopeston for many years. He served in the Army and enjoyed riding around the park on his scooter and playing spider solitaire on the computer.
