QUANAH (Special) - Services for Hazel Marie Adkins, 52, of Quanah will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. John Spangler, minister of Trinity Baptist Church, officiating. The Rev. Jesse Dea, minister of First United Methodist Church, and B.R. Foster will assist.

Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday in Rochester Cemetery under direction of Price-Jackson Funeral Home.

She died Monday, Feb. 9, 1998, in a Lubbock hospital.

She was born Oct. 9, 1945, in Winters. She attended Hardin-Simmons University. She married Jess W. "Bud" Adkins on May 27, 1967, in Tye. She moved to Quanah from Altus, Okla., in 1994. She was a pianist and member of First Baptist Church. She was a former organist and pianist at churches in Colorado City, Rochester, Tye, Lawn, Abilene, Hamlin, Breckenridge, Vernon and Bledsoe.

She was the librarian at Reagan Elementary.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Jeffery W. of Lubbock and Corey M. of Bowie; a daughter, Heather B. of Quanah; two sisters, Laverne Hallman and Ruthell Crooks, both of Lubbock; and two grandchildren.
