Servero Baca, 87, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2002 at his home in Socorro, NM. He was born July 15, 1914 to Gregorio and Maria (Luna) Baca in Socorro, NM. He is preceded in death by his wife, Josefita Torres Baca.
He is survived by his son, Fidel Baca and wife, Charlotte of Socorro, NM; daughters: Lucille Candelaria and husband, Joe, Mary Lou Cervantes and husband Herby, and Josephine Rivera, all of Albuquerque, NM; Jenny Lucero, Florie Baca and husband Abie and Lillie Caraveo and husband Jesus, all of Socorro; brothers: Jose Elias Baca and wife, Lucy, and Rafael Baca of Socorro; sister, Rafelita Baca of Albuquerque; 28 grandchildren, 61 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.
Rosary was recited on Monday, March 04, 2002 at 7:00 PM at San Miguel Catholic Church. Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, March 5, 2002 at San Miguel with Father Edward Domme as Celebrant.
Interment was in the San Miguel Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Ron Duncan, Abie Baca Jr., Frankie Cervantes, Fred Rivera Jr., Manuel Baca and Manuel Molina. Honorary Pallbearers were: Henry James Cervantes, Danny Ray Cervantes, Nicholas Cervantes, Fidel Baca Jr., Severo Baca, Orlando Molina, Steven Molina, Rich Duncan, Johnny Lucero and Jewel Lucero.
