"Mrs. C.E. Freeman, Sr. (age 66) of 444 McWilliams Ave, SE, died Thursday at a private hospital after a week's illness.
The former Miss Edna Williams of Newnan, Mrs. Freeman had lived in Atlanta for a number of years; she was a member of Newnan Baptist Church. Survived by husband; daughters, Beatrice (R.V.) Baxter, Atltanta; Edna Mae (Earl R.) McHale, Miami; Dorothy G. (Lewie W.) Haynie, Rockford, IL; sons, Charles Edward Freeman, Jr. and Tommy Grady Freeman both of Atlanta; Deforest N.Freeman, Fayetteville, NC; brother, Ernest Williams, Chattanooga; 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday evening at 4PM at Woodland Hills Baptist Church; remains placed in State at 3PM.
Rev. E. G. Kilpatrick and Rev. L.C. Obert officiated.
