The funeral for Daphne Mabel (Molstrom) Schwenn will begin 2 p.m. Friday at Folsom-Bishop Funeral Chapel in Pendleton, with vault interment at Olney Cemetery.

Mrs. Schwenn, 82, formerly of Pendleton and Athena, died Monday, Dec. 15, 1986, at the Federal Way Convalescent Center in Federal Way, Wash. She was a resident of Greenlake, Wash.

Born in Pendleton, May 27, 1904, she was the daughter of Elsie Lee (Bowman) and Abe Molstrom. She was graduated from Pendleton High School in 1921 and from Willamette University in 1925; then took post-graduate work at both the University of California and Oregon State University. She taught school in Huntington, Adrian and Athens before moving in 1941 to Seattle, where she worked in the accounting department of Boeing Aircraft.

In 1954 she married Earl Schwenn at Seattle. She retired in the 1960s and was divorced. She then worked as supervisor for Martha Washington School for Girls, retiring there in 1970.

Mrs. Schwenn was active in the Rebekah Lodge of Greenlake, Wash., and the United Methodist Church there. Survivors include brother Frank Molstrom of Pendleton.
