A native of McAdam, N.B., Canada, Mr. Williams had lived in Albany since 1939. He was a member of Byne Memorial Baptist Church and the Brothers in Christ Sunday School Class. He also attended Liberty Parkway Church of God. He retired in January of 2003 from the Dougherty County Board of Education where he worked as a Mechanic in the Transportation Department. . He was a veteran of WW II and he served with the Second Armored Division. He saw combat in North Africa and Europe and he fought in the Battle of the Bulge. Mr. Williams was an avid outdoorsman. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Thelma Williams.
