Roscoe - Lethling Lafette Campbell, Sr. [sic] died at 3 p.m. Tuesday at his home in Loraine following an illness of several weeks.
Funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in First Methodist Church of Loraine with Rev. Ray Copeland, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Roscoe Cemetery, Wells Funeral Home of Roscoe in charge.
Born Sept. 6, 1878 in Alabama, he married Fannie Carver in Cass County on Aug. 13, 1905. They came to Nolan County in 1920 and to Loraine 13 years ago.
Surviving are his wife; seven sons, Loyd and Nolan, both of Roscoe, Cecil of Lamesa, L. L., Jr. of Alamogordo, N.M., John and Edward Lee, both of Sweetwater, and Billy Joe of Amarillo; four daughters, Mrs. Sena Laura Hollingshead of Arlington, Mrs. Mattie Lou Heston of Roscoe, Mrs. Buena Wade Brasuell and Mrs. Birdie Stamps, both of Grand Prairie; 28 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
