This beautiful girl was my cousin, I never got to meet her but I found these articles in the Monroe Evening News Archives. while researching my genealogy.

COUNTY WOMAN DIES OF INJURIES FROM CAR CRASH

ESTRAL BEACH - Roslyn M. Leach, 19, of 7512 Howard St., Newport, died Monday afternoon in the University of Michigan Hospital, Ann Arbor, after being injured in the pre-dawn hours Monday in a one-car crash on Port Sunlight Rd. south of Reaume Rd. Immediately after the accident, which occurred about 3:30 a.m. Monday, Miss Leach was taken to Memorial Hospital Unit for treatment and was flown via Life Flight air ambulance to the Ann Arbor hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 1:35 p.m. Friends may call after 5 today in the Bennett Funeral Home,Monroe, where scriptural service will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Anne's Catholic Church, of which she was a member. The Rev. J. Michael McGouth will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery, LaSalle.
A witness told Deputies Orval Parker Jr. and William Myers of the sheriff's department that the Leach auto was traveling at a high rate of speed on Port Sunlight Rd. when it apparently went off the side of the road and slammed into a tree. The witness had been following the car from a distance and noticed the Leach car go off the road. Arriving at the accident site, the witness discovered the car against a tree.
Deputies' investigation showed the Leach auto had driven along the side of a ditch line for some 100 feet before it entered the ditch and came out, going airborne for 48 feet. The car then returned to the ground and slammed into the tree.
Cause of death was listed as massive head injuries.
The daughter of Floyd and Yvonne (Jacobs) Leach, she was born April 10, 1963, in Monroe.
She was a 1981 graduate of Jefferson High School and was employed by the Howard Johnson restaurant.
She is survived by her parents; a grandmother, Mrs.Raydon (Cecil) Green of Monroe; three brothers, Douglas M. and David M., both of Monroe, and Lonnie T. of Newport, and three sisters, Mrs. Rochelle Lackner, Mrs. Francis (Diane) Moore and Denise M. Leach, all of Monroe.
Miss Leach is the 20th person to die on county roadways this year which is two above the total of last year at the same time.
